Fall Beauty Tips
You can feel it in the air, you can see it in your hair… Fall is near!
The drop in humidity and temperature often make for better hair days, but create a battle with dryness for your skin and nails. Recognize your body changes with the seasons, accept this compassionately, and make conscious choices to stay on top of your self-care game.
While the official first day of fall isn’t until September 22, you can flow between seasons with ease by following the 5 fall beauty tips below!
Fall Beauty Tips For You
1. Invest in hydrating products.
Without proper moisture-levels, your integumentary system (the organ system that makes up your hair, skin, and nails!) will be out-of-whack and asking for trouble. Avoid this rebellion by maintaining moisture-levels in your hair, skin, and nails with hydrating products containing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, natural oils like coconut oil, Vitamin E, ceramides, etc.
Hair, skin, and nail oils will be your best friend. Ta-ta frizz and flakiness! When using oil products, remember a little bit goes a long way.
Depending on how dry your skin is, incorporating a heavier moisturizer could also provide benefits.

2. Pass on the ponytail.
During the heat of summer, ponytails may have been your go-to. Now that the weather has cooled down a bit, skip the ponytail and give your hair a rest. This will prevent further breakage and damage. Allow your locks to hang loose and enjoy the fullness of your hair in all its glory.
If you must wear your hair up for work or a particular reason, this is okay, so long as your hair gets a break at some point, such as in the evening. Who knew taking care of your hair is as simple as wearing it down?
3. Don’t forget your lips.
Our lips are frequently neglected in regard to skin care. As the beauty industry evolves, lip care has recently grown in popularity. The majority of skin care lines now have lip care products such as exfoliants, masks, and balms.
Be mindful of your lips as you go about your day. Make sure to keep a lip balm close-by so you can reapply when necessary.
On the nights when you have a little extra time, exfoliate your lips and apply a soothing lip mask to sleep in as an extra part of your self-care routine.
4. Play with neutral makeup palettes.
Neutral tones are the go-to eyeshadow shades in the fall. Play around with varying shades of tan, brown, and gold to come up with some unique looks for the season. Top your look off with dark brown or deep burgundy lips to really seal the deal!

5. Try a darker hair color.
Less time in the sun = less hair lightening! Now is the time to shine with a darker hair color. Experiment with a different hair color while you’re not spending as much time in the sun or coming into contact with chlorine/salt water.
Going darker enables you to hit your hair’s reset button after surviving the summer. Your new look will set the tone for the season and leave you feeling equipped to take on anything that comes your way.
